Managing Rule Running Modes for Quotes
Overview
When working with quotes that contain multiple discounting rules and custom total calculations, you now have the flexibility to control when these rules are executed. This feature is particularly useful when making multiple updates to quote items, allowing you to batch your changes before recalculating discounts and totals.
Rule Running Modes
Rules Switch Enabled (Automatic Mode)
When the rule running switch is enabled, rules will run:
- Upon opening a quote
- On every quote change
- Upon submitting a quote (pressing Next)
Rules Switch Disabled (Manual Mode)
When the rule running switch is disabled, rules will run:
- Upon opening a quote (automatically)
- Upon submitting a quote by pressing Next (automatically)
- For all changes that occur on the quote between these two time points, you must manually press the "Run Rules" button to execute the rules
