What is a Product Field?

Product fields streamline your sales workflow by letting sales reps select products at the start of their workflow. These products automatically flow into quotes - no complex quote rules needed. Let's walk through how to set this up.

Basic Setup: Your First Product Field

Start by adding a scaffolding of a workflow:

  1. A form with a product field for your main offerings
  2. A quote that captures the selections
  3. A document to map the quote to

Create Your Product Selection Form

  1. Create a new form
  2. Add a product field - we'll use the "preselected" type first
  3. This lets you add products from your catalog as either:
    • Single selection (one product only)
    • Multiple selection (several products)
    • Pre-selected (all shown products are included)

Example: Smart Home Solution

Let's say you're selling smart home security. Your form might include:

  1. A subscription selection (single choice)
    • Add all subscription options
    • Set to "single item selection" since customers need one plan
  2. Additional services (multiple choice)
    • Add service options
    • Enable "multiple selection" for add-ons

Connect to Quotes

  1. Create your quote
  2. Go to Quotes Data tab
  3. Map your form fields:
    • Map subscription field
    • Map services field
  1. Add document template
  2. Link your quote to the quote placeholder.
