At PandaDoc, we’re proud of the work we do to help sales teams big and small win smarter, faster, and more often. But winning today looks different than it did even just a few short months ago. Today, winning teams are working remotely, and they still have quotas to hit without the added support of in-person meetings to push them over the finish line.
With the onset of COVID-19, we decided to prioritize people over profit and expedite the launch of our new, free-forever, unlimited eSignature plan to help businesses keep their doors open and deals coming in during these uncertain times. Since its launch in late March, tens of thousands of businesses of all sizes have signed up for the Free eSign plan.
“eSignatures have always been an integral part of PandaDoc, but our software goes way beyond that, said Mikita Mikado, PandaDoc CEO and Co-Founder. “Today, it’s not enough to just offer eSignatures. The full value is found before, during, and after the signature with document workflows, insights, speed, and the end-user experience. The market doesn’t want a single-feature application. PandaDoc leads the market by focusing on an all-in-one solution that incorporates electronic signatures along with other essential document automation innovations, while continuing to always put our customers first.”
Our move into the electronic signatures space has been more well-received than we could’ve hoped. The unprecedented success of the Free eSign plan has helped us raise an additional $30 million in funding led by One Peak with participation from Microsoft’s Venture Fund (M12), Savano Capital Partners, Rembrandt Venture Partners, and EBRD Venture Capital Investment Programme. Entrepreneur, investor, and former RingCentral COO, David Sipes, also participated as an investor in this round and will join the PandaDoc Board of Directors.
COVID-19 has changed the landscape of businesses all over the world, from sales teams to school districts. It has certainly changed PandaDoc, and we are better for it. Our recent achievement of both HIPAA and FERPA compliance has opened the door to new industries and we are learning from them daily. The McMinnville School District (MSD) in Oregon was one such customer..
When MSD schools shut their doors in mid-March, IT Director, David Bousquet knew he had to find an eSignature solution–and quick–to support the district’s needs. The Free eSign plan allowed David to bypass budgeting red tape and implement the tool right away. The ability to electronically send and sign an unlimited number of documents alone was enough to transform the MSD workflow. Still, David knew that upgrading the district’s account to a paid plan would allow them to derive even more benefit from PandaDoc.
Thanks to our customers, we’ve learned that eSignatures are simply a means to an end, the cherry on top of the sundae and that the true value of PandaDoc lies within the beautifully designed templates, advanced document insights, and unforgettable customer experience.
