Apartment Lease Agreement Ohio

There are a few things to remember in Ohio when leasing apartments. It includes the required disclosures and limitations on security deposits. You must also clearly state the procedure and grace period for late rent. Our apartment lease agreement Ohio template is the best way to get a detailed and legally binding document.

Security Deposit

In Ohio, there are terms regarding the security deposit you’ll find in your apartment lease agreement. It includes the conditions for the 5% interest on the deposit. While there’s no maximum limit for the security deposit, any amount over $50 or one month’s rent must gain interest. The landlord also has 30 days to return the remaining balance of this deposit.

This state is slightly more friendly towards landlords in that there’s no statutory grace period for late rent. As such, if the tenant doesn’t pay the rent by the due date, you can give them a three-day notice to quit. All of these terms are present in our template.

Disclosures
